My idea was a bed that had a radio, iPod/iPhone dock, and a CD player built into the headboard so you could listen to music as you sleep/ to put you to sleep. The speakers are right above your head in a way that it would feel like the music was consuming you. I don't really know how I came up with it, it just kind of came to me. it is something that I would want, so I thought it would be a good idea. I like its originality and creativeness, and I just love the whole Idea. I wish I could have one.
I had a pretty idea, but the final product didn't work very well. I don't know if it was the paint or if I just didn't do a very good job, but it looked kind of crappy as you can see below. and that one in my opinion is my best one. I thought my linoleum block print was very pretty after i printed and washed it off and the paint was in the cracks. I used one of the bigger brayers, and Ally used a smaller one, but both turned out not very good. we still don't know why. I numbered mine 1/5 because all I got time to make was five because I was constantly trying to figure out why it wasn't working. I enjoyed this project a lot. It let me explore my imagination and crest things. I love to write, and making up stories and plots and characters is extremely fun for me. That's what this project let me do. I would have preferred to write about the character instead of drawing it, but this was fun too. Maybe I'll make a story for my character. We'll see. My narrative was "my idea is about a world burnt by the sun and all the chemicals of humans is spilt. We spend a lot of time in darkness, almost all of it. Our eyes have adapted to the dark now, we're almost nocturnal. When the sun does come out (12 times a year/once a month) we have to wear protective glasses our we'll go blind. The world is covered in ash and bones. Only few species remain, buffalo, elephants, lions, bears, and apes. Tough animals like that. Most sea creatures were fried, but no one knows for sure how many, if any, are still alive. We have created gas masks that are practically part of us once on. They have to be in order to work. The chemicals are so strong if we breath the air for more than a minute, we'll die in 15 minutes." Below you can see some of my process for creating my drawing. I'm sorry there isn't many, I kept forgetting to take pictures. My project was of a pegasus. There's not really a specific reason, I just think they are beautiful. I love the greek myths and the amazing fantasy creatures, pegasus being one of my favorites, so I thought, why not? I changed the design quite a bit, not entirely intentionally, but I like it. My Art ProcessMy InspirationI learned - you have to go slow and be careful - what you do to one spot you do to everything - it takes a lot of practice and focus Doug Reynolds - he is patient and professional - he is very educated on the art - he is from Waverly His art is very creative and unique. I learned a lot because of everyone's projects. I now understand the stress and hardness of the fame and all the pressure the public put on them. It also makes me feel kind of bad about how much I judge some famous people today. Everyone has a lot of pressure on them in some way and until you understand them, you shouldn't judge them. I am proud that I met all the standards and I shed the light and story of Thomas Hart Benton so everyone can know. |
